Stare Fixedly at Flower
셀 수 있는 하나의 개체로 보이는 것은 실은 셀 수 없다. 가늠할 수 없는 무수한 것들의 집합체가 우리의 눈에 하나로 보이는 것이다. 사물의 본질은 눈에 보이는 것만으로는 판명할 수 없다. 식물의 단면을 확대하여 바라보았을 때의 이미지를 디지털 콜라주 하여 꽃의 이미지를 형상화하였다. 이를 통해 보는 이로 하여금 우리가 마주했던 사물들의 실제 모습에 대해 다시 한번 골몰하였으면 한다.
What appears to be a single, countable entity is in fact uncountable. It is a convergence of innumerable elements, perceived by our eyes as one. The essence of a thing cannot be determined by its visible surface alone. By digitally collaging the magnified cross-sections of plants, I have shaped the image of a flower. Through this, I hope to prompt viewers to reconsider the true forms of the objects we encounter.
